| Why use Cloth Pads? Not only are cloth pads a better choice for our environment, they are better for you! Cloth pads allow your skin to breathe unlike the plastic store bought brands. Most commercial pads are bleached using chemicals like carcinogenic dioxins and furans. Many woman develop a rash on their delicate skin and who wants that? Reusable cloth pads are made from super soft and absorbent flannel & terry cloth in fun prints and colors. Several levels of absorbency are available so there is one that is just right for your personal needs. Cloth pads are very easy to use, just wrap the wings around the outside of your panties and snap them together. Use a fresh pad as often as you would a disposable. Most woman use about 12 pads per cycle. |
| Care & Cleaning Just toss your cloth pads into a bucket of cold water to soak, this helps to minimize and prevent staining. Be sure to change the water daily! The rinse water is full of nutrients which makes for a great fertilizer for your house plants! After soaking your pads wring them out and toss them into the washer. You can add tee tree oil or eucliptus oil to the rinse cycle which are antibacterial. Just hang them to dry in the sunlight or throw them into your dryer. Do not use dryer sheets as they will create a film on the fabric and then your pad will not be as absorbent. It's that easy! Reusable pads will last on average about 3-5 years. |
