~a note about my threads~
Most everything I design first starts out as a draft on paper and then grows into the finished piece you see here. I am very patient and pay close attention to the small details. Most of my inspiration comes from nature and all the beauty she provides. I use both new and vintage materials and it is stated in the description of the item. I love learning and trying new things, which allows my work to constantly change and evolve.
All seams are first sewn on either my Janome Memory Craft or my Brother NX600 then serged on my White Superlock 2900. They are pressed open and top stitched. My fabrics are prewashed to prevent bleeding and shrinking. All of my appliques are hand drawn & cut, heat bonded, and then satin stitched into place. All loose threads are pulled to the back and knotted. This ensures your applique will not fray! I double roll my hems and bodices are always lined. |
